Miguel Lopez

Pastor of Student & Worship Ministries

Miguel and Connie are lifelong natives of the New Orleans area. Miguel graduated from LSU in ’82, met Connie at a Bible study in the Spring of ’86 and married her in March of ’88. In 1991, they moved to St. Tammany with one daughter. Before long, their family grew from three members to seven. Miguel has spent most of his career pointing teenagers towards a relationship with Christ. He was on staff with Campus Life (originally in Metairie and later on the north shore). He was also the Student Ministries Pastor at Trinity for a six year window and a hospice chaplain as time allowed. In 2011, Miguel & Connie planted Grace Chapel which met at the YMCA until July of 2018.


Kara Ellis

Director of Children’s Ministries

Kara has been a member of Trinity Church for 23 years. She was raised in a military family and moved around the country, until high school when her family moved to Mandeville.

She graduated from Southern Miss in 1997 with a degree in Business Management. After graduation she was employed by Entergy in the Human Resource Department. She worked there for 7 years until becoming a stay-at-home mom.

She and Sam have been married for 12 years. They have 4 children Samuel, Cami, Jacob and Hannah. Sam and Kara have been teaching Sunday School together for the past 5 years.

Over the years Kara has served in many different ministries at Trinity including, women’s ministry, teaching Sunday School, working with the youth group, and the Mothers Of Preschoolers group.


Amy Gex

Church Administrator

 

Amy grew up in Southeast Louisiana. She and her husband, Anthony, met in high school and have been married for 31 years. They have 2 daughters, Chelsea (25) and Ella(12). 

Amy has a Bachelor’s Degree from University of New Orleans.  She has experience in Office Administration, Finance and Education. 

In 2007,  they moved to Northwest Arkansas and then to Southern Indiana. After 9 years, they returned home to Madisonville, Louisiana.

In the summer of 2016, Anthony and Amy became members of Trinity church.  She has served on the worship team, taught Vacation Bible school and been involved in ladies ministry.  She began serving as      
Church Administrator in the Fall of 2019.
