Hurricane Ida Response

Trinity Church: Growing Through the Storm

Acts 1:8 says, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

During the days ahead, let’s embrace this verse. Remember to depend on the Holy Spirit, don’t try to do this in your own strength. And remember that he wants us to be his witnesses, to provide evidence of his love in a world that needs hope. Care for people!!! Use these days as an opportunity overflow with God’s love.

To be a church that is growing through the storm, here are a few things to do:

  1. CARE FOR YOUR NEIGHBORS. Now is a great opportunity to get out, walk around your neighborhood, check on people. Connect with people. Meet people that you maybe haven’t met yet. Make a note of any needs that you see.
  2. HELP PEOPLE ASK FOR HELP—if you or someone you know needs help because of the storm,  CLICK HERE to report their need. Gathering information is the first step to getting help. We are partnering with Reach Global Crisis Response to help people in the midst of this crisis. We are grateful for partners like Crisis Response to help us demonstrate the love of Christ in our community.
  3. SIGN UP TO SERVE—if you are able to serve in any way,  CLICK HERE to sign up. Again, we are partnering with Reach Global Crisis Response to connect volunteers with needs in our community.
  4. Starting September 12, we will resume gathering for worship at the normal time, 10AM in the Worship Center. Bring a friend!

Please join me in praying that Trinity Church will continue to grow through this storm!

I’ll see you soon,
