UIM – Bread and Bread of Life Summer Feeding Program
We have the opportunity to bless 200+ people with a delicious, home cooked meal on Tuesday, June 30! Trinity has partnered with Urban Impact Ministries to support their Bread and Bread of Life Summer Weekday Meal Program and help feed the bodies and souls of people in need in New Orleans’ urban communities. We know Trinity is filled with people ready to jump in and help support this endeavor!
George Rhode has graciously offered to cook and deliver chicken leg quarters for the meal.
Here’s what else we need:
10 pans of macaroni and cheese (uncooked)
15-20 bags of prewashed salad greens (any variety)
10-12 16-ounce bottles of ranch dressing
250 cookies or brownies
Plastic grocery bags to distribute meals
Five people to assemble the meals on site starting at 3 p.m. in New Orleans
Food should be placed in the FDC kitchen refrigerator on Sunday, June 28.
We also want to include a scripture message or prayer with the meals, so we need a team to develop and execute this aspect of the project. Additionally, we anticipate spending some money to purchase food and supplies. Please consider donating $10 or $20.
